Morning Pamela,The Aten booklet I have was compiled by Monty Aten in 1974.Published by Prairie Press books in Charleston, IL.The first generation listed is Adriaen Hendrickse Aaton, born in 1630 near Doesburg, Holland. Then his child Hendrick Aaton (1661), then his son Adrian Aten (1695), his son Dirck Aten (Aug. 22, 1721), his son Adrian (Aaron)Aten (Jan 1753), his son William (1777-1781), his son Richard (June 2, 1815), his son Cornelius (July 28, 1845, his son Henry Ward (Sep 21, 1869) his daughter Fanny (May 2, 1894,) her daughter Dorothy, and me! This book shows Jacobje married to Adrian Aten (b.1695) with no other information. Actually lists her name as Jacobje Middogh (Hugenot). This is the only information I have.I have lots of proof from Cornelius on as my mother remember stories about him.And she knew personnally Henry Ward and I of course loved and spent much of my childhood with Grandma Fanny.
I started this work years ago when my childrem were small but it got put away with the pressures of life! Now I'm anxious to get back to work on documenting the information for them and my grandchildren.
