You have a hard genealogical puzzle. I hope I found something useful that you did not already have.I found less than I expected for the bit of time I put in for the fun of it.The best clues that I found are at the link below:
Look at all the Atherton families.I bet that Ezekiel is the brother / uncle / cousin of the rest of them. You may be able to connect those dots but you may have to go to a genealogical library to do that and even then it may not be possible.
Belmont County Ohio borders Guernsey County.

Richard Atherton, a Quaker, was born about 1755 to Thomas ATHERTON and Abigail MARSH of Warrington Twp., York Co. Richard married 18 May 1775 to (1) Phebe Hobson, who apparently died before 1784. Richard married 7 Aug 1784 to (2) Ann? and six children were born to them. Richard ATHERTON received on certificate from Concord Monthly Meeting, Belmont Co., Ohio in 1804 (no wife listed), but it seems some claim was made for his care to be taken over by the church. He may have died in 1806.

at Nantmeal Friends Meeting House, Chester Co., PA. He joined the Friends church 5/18/1740 at Goshen M.M., son of Henry and Jennet (Thelwall) Atherton. Looking for Abigail's family and siblings. Anyone researching the Marsh surname in this era & place? Have much to share on the Athertons.
