I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Richard Atkins who enlisted 7 Aug 1862 at Vienna, Dane Co., WI. He applied for pension from the State of Minnesota on 5 Oct 1880, Application # 411,210. We have no other information for him.

Any information you can give us will be gratefully appreciated. Sources are very helpful & we welcome letters, writings, and photos. The book will be in two parts (1) a day to day diary in the Soldiers own words from letters, diaries, etc. and (2) the bios of the men.
