Re: Yours of 13 March 2003: They had six children; Elizabeth, 1849; Laura, 1842; Elmira, 1844; Adon W., 1847-1865; Theo. Jr., 1849, Sarah, 1853; Jeptha A., 1856; Lorenzo, 1858; Estell, 1860 and James, 1863. Sarah Compton married Charles Deal Stevenson, siring William Parvin Stevenson in 1878. He was my Grandfather. Sarah later married (divorce, death??) Capt. John Theobald, who I never knew. She died in Rochester, NY, year unknown. I have Sarah Avis birth in 1820 and marriage in 1839. I have no information on the Avis side. Our family never kept very good, if any records. I'm starting to pick up the pieces. Hope this helps even at this late date.
