Aaron Avrutis came to NYC in 1889 from Borispol Ukraine. He married Fanya Leah Kantor, born Konvno in 1880,in December 1900 in NYC. The marriage was arranged in NYC by Fanny's older sister Rose who brought Fanny over in 1898.Also in 1898,Aaron brought over his parents and 4 youngest sibs. The posting from the lady whose grandmother was Basia Avrutis mentioned the same town in Ukr as Saslavsky, near Kiev and Borispol. So I agree that if we are related it's through them. But at least we are landtsmen,if not cousins.
On your manifest, who paid for the passage? How much money did head of household have? If Sas. paid for passage and had enough money, Aaron Avrutis could be listed as cousinfor sake of the authority, even if not cousin but friend. Aaron's eldest sister Gussie/Sophy was married to a Soloff(spell?)in Ukr.and they came over around 1891,but they had only 3 children;I never found their emigration records.
