David Ayers - Texas

Looking for David Ayers or Ayres b. 1793 d. 1881.He was the founder of the first Methodist missio9nary society in Texas.Son of Silas and Mary Byram Ayers of Morristown New Jersey.He married Ann Moshell Smith in 1815. He settled on the Nueces River at San Patricio in Texas in 1834.He moved to Galveston in 1847.Had the following children:George, Mary Ann, Eliza, Sara, Carolina, Francis, David and Crawford.
