I am a descendant from John Byram Ayers, through Sarah Louise.I have been able to find much on David because of his making history in bringing the first Bibles to Texas.I have been able to obtain a rare book "Texas Methodist Centennial Yearbook 1834-1934"In it is much interesting information with Texas history and also a picture of David with wife, also a picture of Robert Alexander, one of the first Methodist missionaries in Texas (who married Davids daughter).I also have the book Byrams in America by John Arnold Byram.Are you familiar with any of these books?David came into what is now known as Washington Co. Tx.But of course, you probable know that.Have also obtained some information online with the Texas Handbook.In it gives information on David and his brother Lewis. I have had a hard time findingwritten information on John Byram, except he died 1859 in Defiance, Oh and Jane 1845 in Tx. Email me if you would like to exchange information. [email protected]
