Married Elizabeth R. (Anderson) Andrews Abt 1846-1849 in Attala County, MS. Raised family in MS including Jamesa D., Elizabeth L., John Lunsford Jr., Rodney Ayers and Edward Ayers. Was a blacksmith while in MS, living in Hesterville, Attala County, then (Abt.1870)moved to Mitchell's Mills, Attala County. Was charter member of Bethel Lodge #107 of the Masonic Order during his years in MS. Relocated to Kosse, Limestone County, TX Abt 1881-1883 where he passed 10 October 1888.
