Re: Ayers in Haralson co. GA

Columbus "Lum" Allen, b. 1848 in GA, was my great-grandfather on my father's side.He was from around Atlanta area according to an aunt.He died in 1896 in Calhoun Co. AL, left a wife and two daughters, but in his will he named two other daughters also. No one knows about these other two daughters in the family. Lula "Lou" Allen married Caleb Milton Ford, (my grandparents), sister, Nancy married Rev. R. H. Martin.The two other daughters listed were Cyntha Wileman/Wilemon, and Mary A. Allen.That is all that I have on the Allen side.

Now, the Ayers are my Mother's side, and I pretty much have my direct line, and some more on the siblings. It's Martin Ayers-Sara Simmons,son,Austin Ayers-Susanna H. Gann, daughter,Lougenia Ayers married Duke William Chandler, daughter, Elzie Bertie Chandler-Christopher Columbus "Lum" Payton, daughter, Geneva Payton-Grady Allen Ford, dau. me, Patsy Lou Ford-Clarence Edwin "Ed" Childs, Jr.
