All I about the Ayres is the John Taylor Ayres who was born in 1809 in KY that married into my Revier (mar. Mary Revier in 1832 in Maury County, TN).
MARY ANNA REVIER (21.1) is possibly the daughter of James Revier and Nancy (Alderson) Revier. Mary was born in 1811 in Virginia. On September 13, 1832, Mary Revier married John Taylor Ayres in Maury County, Tennessee.
John was born in 1807 in Kentucky. John and Anna Ayres were the parents of five children:
....Helen Manerva Jane Ayres, b. December 31, 1839, Maury County, Tennessee
....Thomas Jefferson Ayres, b. July 26, 1841, Maury County, Tennessee
....John Polk Ayres, b. July 9, 1844
....Sarah Caroline Ayres, b. 1848
....Bruce B. Ayres, b. 1850
In 1860, John and Mary Ayres were living in Maury County, Tennessee. On July 26, 1861, Helen Ayres married Robert M. Blackburn in Maury County, Tennessee. Helen (Ayres) Blackburn died on April 3, 1916 in Pittsburg, Texas. Thomas J. Ayres married Whitten Gould. Thomas J. Ayres died on June 17, 1917 in Cedar Hill, Tennessee. On February 22, 1877, John P. Ayres married Mary Catherine Sparks in Humphreys County, Tennessee. John P. Ayres died on May 4, 1919 and was buried in the Bold Springs Cemetery in Humphreys County, Tennessee. On November 17, 1869, Sarah Ayres married Stephen Larkin. Sarah (Ayres) Larkin died in 1885.

There is a reasonable chance that my John Taylor Ayres is the son of your Joseph Ayres.
