Capt John AYRES (d. 1675) & John AYERS (d 1691) - WHICH ONE?

My home page is dedicated to helping researchers of the names AYRES, AYERS & variations of the surname.My main focus right now is with the descendants of Capt. John AYRES who married Susanna SYMONDS & was of Ipswich, MA in 1643/1648 & they moved to Brookfield, MA where Capt. John died 2 Aug. 1675, killed by Indians.However, there has been significant confussion made by some early authors that confused this line with that of John AYERS (b. abt. 1624) in England and immigrated to Haverhill, MA where he died in 1691 & where there are many resources pertaining to his line.I therefore, have included on my home page some searchable AYRES & AYERS related material to aid those in particular wanting to find the correct lineage!Consider the following transcripts of: New England Historical & Genealogical Register (various volumes); Boston Transcripts; Biography of Capt.
