Vic-Sounds like you may be descended from Amzi Babbitt's son William L. (or H. ?) Amzi married Martha Dickerson, their first born children appear to have been born in Rockaway, Morris Co. NJ. I have their children (as far as I know) as: FRANK E., b. ca 1850, NJ; CAROLINE AMELIA, b. 1853, Rockaway, Morris Co., NJ., married Peter Geo. MARR;
ROSE EMMA, b. 1860, Burt Co., NE., married Peter Geo. MARR, widower of her sister; CLARENCE, b. ca 1866, NE; MAUD, b. ca 1861< NE, married George M. LANGLEY, resided Decatur, Burt Co., NE 1897; JESSE, b. ca 1869/70, NE;
EUNICE A., b. ca 1871/2, Superintendent of St. John's Indian School, Ft. Bennet, S. D. She resided in Ft. Bennet, 1897, wife of E. J. WARNER, had a son name Victor WARNER; FRED, b. ca 1873, NE; of Tekamah, Burt Co., NE; to Washington State, 22 Aug 1899; Postal Clerk, Seattle, Wa. before 30 May 1901;WILLIAM L.of Decatur, NE 1901;
a female Babbitt, who died 31 Jul 1910, Sumner, WA, buried Centralia, Lewis Co., WA (her given name and where buried?), wife of Rev. J. Wm. MILLER; HENRY BABBITT, another son, is my interest.He married in Lyons, Burt Co., NE. to Eva Jane Beemer, b. ca 1863, IL. (prob. Lee Co) a d/o Alpheus Hy. BEEMER & Margaret RANDOLPH. She was a sister of my g. grandfather, George H. Beemer, of Lyons, Burt Co., NE.Eva died in March 1873, before the 19th of Mar.I thought in Rapid City, S. D. as that is where her husband had come from to Burt Co., NE to leave some of their children with relatives, my gr. grandfather taking two of them. (They had 4, as far as I know).Their son Alpheus, went with his father Henry to Tacoma, WA.I am trying to learn when and where Eva Jane (Beemer) Babbitt died and is buried.I gathered this info on the Babbitt's from newspaper clippings in the Burt Co. NE area and from rootsweb; Family Trees.If you are interested in further data please contact me.Dorothy
