Re: S.J. BAGE MO>IL
My Mo. birthdate is 1925; my Dad was Ellis Reginal Bage, born in Jefferson County (as was I)but in 1889. I believe his Dad (a grand- father I never saw) was named Theodore, but also seems he went by Sam.
As small boy I met -- maybe 3 or 4 times over 5-yr. period -- a cousin of Dad's named Jim Bage. Jim Bage's home was mainly in Arkansas but also had a home in Victoria, Mo.
--Jeff. Co.(Once had a formal-like dinner there--I was maybe age 6 0r 7). Jim Bage was a 'Machine Man'-he owned/operated Threshing Machines, doing threshing tours of farms with Wheat,Oats, etc. each fall. AND its my vague understanding he (Big-Jim) had a son, also named Jim (?Little Jim or Jimmy- I don't believe I ever saw him). But think he was located somewhere in Illinois. I did meet his sister Elizabeth, however, somewhere in the Seattle, Wa. area -- while I was there as WWII artillery soldier-- in Apr. 1944. Sorry to say, I never again learned of Elizabeth or her family.
So, this rambling may not address your question, S.J., but since our surname's so rare--and my long-term geneology interest still is growing -- I hope you'llforgive me the excess on length.... and its minimal real content.
I'll be hoping to see an e-mail from you
from (are you IN Illinois? .. possibly related to Little Jim??) and any comments as to "Why Your Question'?
Sincerely, With Best Regards, Earl Bage
