am recently interested in the BAIER or BEIER family names.Mine come from Hesse, Germany.Here is all the data that I have:

died: 14 January 1815, Hainzell.
father: Georg BAIER (BEIER)
mother: ?
spouse: Johan Georg GÄRTNER, m. 1774, Schletzenhausen.
child: Anna Catharina GA"RTNER, b. 1786, Gersrod/Hosenfeld,
d. 1846, Hainzell.

Gersrod, Hainzell and Schletzenhausen are near Fulda in Hesse.My Gaertner's are spelled with an umlaut-a, as above for Johan Georg.
