There is a John Bailey born abt 1824, Steuben Co, NY son of Nicholas Bailey buried Steuben Co, NY who was born in Hunterdon Co, NJI have traced the family of John Bailey Charokee Co., KS through Hiram Bailey of Vernon County MO to Nicholas Bailey in Steuben County, NY.I have a paper trail from the US census and marriage records to Nicholas.Nicholas is possibly the son of H_ _ _ Bailey who fought in the revolution as a 2nd Lt in the 2nd Hunterdon.Nicholas moved with Gen. John Taylor, his fathers commander to Steuben County, NY.
I am trying to locate someone that will help me with finding any Evidence for a Henry Bailey who lived in Hunterdon County, NJ and died there about 1807 there. He married, as a second husband, Isabella Montgomery born abt 1730 Married first John Reading who died 1767 married second Henry Bailey about 1769.She died 9 Jan 1800 Amwell township, Hunterdon county, New Jersey buried possibly Amwell Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Amwell township, Hunterdon county, New Jersey. Sense women had babies into their late 50s and even early 60s it is entirely possible she could be the mother of Nicholas Bailey.Henry Bailey could either be the father or grandfather of Nicholas.
