What I have been working on are the different spellings of Baltzell. Due to language, P was often used in records instead of B.So there are many spellings of Balsel, etc.
I am trying to connect my Lefever with the "Uncle Major Baltzell who raised Jacob Lefever (born 1785 in MD) untill his marriage (in 1806 to Mary Pope Jackson, a neighbor of Charles Baltzell Jr, & Sr. & Fultons & Waters.
Nearby was the Graceham Moravian church. Member John Daniel Wotring (Woodring in genforum Forums) had daughter Jullianna b 1746 who married Peter Weller and 2nd Henry Pietzel/Pietsel/Peitsel/Pretsell, etc. Her sister Mary Salome b 1728 may be the wife of Elias Lefever who died March 1797 at age 49. Jacob Lefever was probably a son of Elias & Mary Salome.
My Lefever may have connections with Pietzel in Lancaster/York & Graceham Moravian Weller was a friend and there is mention of Pietzel (sp) coming to Frederick, MD.where Maryland (Source, the book, "Pioneers of Old Monocacy"
I'm also trying to determine Rbecca b abt 1785-9 who married first Wm. "Lewis" Jackson, son of Henry Jockson of Frederick. Co. & wife Pope; and Rebeca m 2nd Icenogle. She died at age 62 in MD.
