Re: Barbers in NY, WI, MI, 1700's-1800s

Stephen Van Rensselaer Barber would be my GG
grandfather. I have such conflicting information concerning his family.I have his life span from 1817-1858, married to Emmeline Benn.I have five children listed from that marriage Mary, William, Edgar, Joel, and Emma.I copied the 1850 and 1860 census page where they are listed. If the last child was born in 1857, I don't see where Mary Jane Hopkiins fits in.
