Re: charlie barber born 7-28-1909 rock hill
I am going to ask you these questions on the genforum, and send an e-mail, as well, because I never know when someone gets notified about these postings. My Barber family are all from around the upper SC and Lower NC area, mostly SC, around the York County, SC, area (York, Clover, Bethany, Rock Hill, etc) and the original line out of Chester county, SC, where the first Barbers I can locate migrated to from Antrim, Ireland. Please let me know if you have any of these names in your line or not, o.k?
1. Nancy E. Barber b. 9-17-1832 d. 11-11-1900 Buried at Enon Baptist Church in York county, SC
2. William George Barber (called George) b. 10-19-1807d. 12-26-1869Buried at Beersheba Presbyterian Church in York County, SC
3. William Barber b. abt. 1770 in Chester County, SC and d.unknown
4. John Barber b. 1748 in Antrim, Ireland (immigrated to Chester County, SC and d. 6-5-1843 in York county, SC. He is buried at Beersheba Presbyterian Church in York County, SC.
John had 9 living children from one marriage and his grandson, William George Barber (called George) had 6 living children from two marriages. I have the info on them. The one female child from George William Barber's first marriage is one of my descent lines.PLease contact me if any of this info will help your research, or if you have something that might help me to piece together some things I do not have in toto yet.
