Re: henry barney1815 & Massey Lucas
Well, Henry Barney died in 1890, so I wouldn't expect to find him on the 1900 census.Mary (Powell) Barney remarried T. A. (Joseph?) Cooper.
I didn't have a copy of the 1900 census listed by Karen Keeley on LDS PRF #111, but am at HeritageQuest right now, looking at it there. It is the 1900 census of Buffalo, Garfield Co., Okla., Sheet 9A, #182/185.BUT:After studying this census I'm not totally convinced that this is the right Mary Cooper! It shows her as the wife of Joseph Cooper (I have that Mary (Powell) Barney md. 2nd. T. A. Cooper, but also have a source which says his name was Joseph). Also, her oldest child (on the census) is Thomas Cooper, b. Jan 1874; I have that she and Henry Barney's youngest child was Curtis Edwin Barney, b. 24 July 1874.
I wouldn't totally disregard this census, but you may wish to contact Miss Keeley and ask her why she thinks this is the same Mary Cooper who used to be the wife of Henry Barney.
