1st Confirmed Appearance of Geo W Barney; 1900 Saint Marys, Elk, Pennsylvania

This George W Barney [erroneously listed as Sarvey in this Census; but corrected to Barney] was born in Aug 1846 in Maine. Oddly, some member or members of the family of six gave the birthplace of his father and mother as "Unknown." Besides 53 year old George was wife Nettie Barney [Given as age 29, but may be incorrect. Her name is erroneously given as "Hettie Sarvey." Next are daughters Ellon E b. 1875, and May A b. in 1878. These daughters born in NY, USA, should have appeared in some New York Census in 1880.
The sons born in PA, USA are James F Barney b. 1883 and Frederick L. Barney b. in 1885.
Some online family trees have George's parents as Jacob and Sarah Barney, but the daughters are not listed in a Census to establish that.
By the 1910 Census, the family minus May A. Barney was in Washington State.
