You've got the lineage correct; your Elizabeth Barney was a fifth-generation descendant of Jacob Barney Sr., who settled in Salem, Mass. about 1634.The Barney genealogy book, "Genealogy of the Barney Family in America," shows your Barney Clark as a child (with marriage to Sarah Ballou), but does not show their children.I would sincerely appreciate any information you can share on their family and descendants.
