Hi Maureen!
I'm sorry I seem to be jumping in late in the game and possibly the worst inning but I'm frustrated, so please forgive me.
I'm new to genealogy so I'm not sure about the proper "etiquette" for this but I'm trying to find out information on Luisa Barneycastle.
My great grandfather was Eugene McClamrock b) about 1873 in N.C and died in Iowa.During my search I found a 1925 Iowa Census where he stated his parents were "Mylin" McClamrock and "Louisa Barney".I understand how tricky transcribing all those documents can be so I spent a week trying to find something remotely similar.
Recently I found a James F. Martin McClamrock who was married to a Luisa Elizabeth Barneycastle who had a son named Eugene, born about the same time.I'm pretty sure these are the people I'm looking for.Apparently, after James died, Luisa married a James Wesley Williams and had 2 more children.
I can trace my McClamrock side back a few more generations but I'm stumped when it comes to Luisa. The only trace of a father I can find is an "E. Barneycastle" and possibly "Mary" as the mother.
Unfortunately, an "E" and a possibly don't add up to much and I was wondering if you had any information on Luisa.
I apologize for posting this message in an unrelated thread but I simply looked for the most recent posting you had.You seem to know an extensive amount about the Barneycastles.
I appreciate any information you can give me that may lead me in the right direction.
