Re: BARR FAMILY, CO DOWN, NORTHERN IRELAND

I have always thought my family were Scottish, but I have traced my relatives back to living in Ireland in the 1800's.
Here are the birth listings of some of my Barrs from Northern Ireland

As far as I can see, they came from Derry, possibly Lower Cumber. Samuel married Rebecca Shannon.
The family moved to Scotland before 1853.
