My great grandfather EDWIN JOSEPH BARRETT emigrated from KENT with his wife ISABELLA GRANT and their five children in 1866. Do you suppose there is a connection with some family members remaining in Kent.In any case I am unable to find from where the BARRETTS came before settling in SHEPPEY,KENT.
