I have been doing genealogy for a several years and have traced the Bartelt family.Don't know where to start to give you info.As far as where Ferdinand came from..I know his brother Carl Fredrick William Bartelt (my GreatGreatGrandfather came from Faberin kreis Naugard Hinter Pommern Deutchland in 1882. I assume Ferdinand would have been lived there too.I got this info from an old Bible.
