My job has me on email all day... so I can reply quickly and right now is a bit of a down time so i have some time to follow up.

Interesting name Klotz, because one record in the Ferdinand Bartelt family genealogy mentions Erdman's daughter Hanna is buried in Kultz. However if you google Kultz there is no such town in Germany. There is a town named "Klutz", and it is in Mecklenberg Pomerania!I think that is a misspelling and it should be Klutz.

I am getting interested in this... my fathers side is very well known as both his parents came from a small village in Northern Italy and they go back to the late 1500's there.

But this German side is interesting and I like to know a little more.

Herman's wiffe was Augusta Maria Louise Siegfried (the genealogy says "Seigfreid" but i also think that is misspelled?)... it says tthey both were born in 1865. I assume they were born in Wisconsin?When did Ferdinand emigrate to USA , do you know that?
