I've had some luck!In the 1880 Census, Alamo, Kalamazoo, MI (Family History Library Film #1254586, NA Film #T9-0586, pg. 11B). Jesse A. Bartholomew, born in MI(!?), was 2yrs at age of census, youngest of 6. Father:D. Bartholomew (Yup, that's it for a first name listed.), born in 1831 in Ohio.No birthplaces listed for his parents, as well as no occupation for him. Mother: Abby Bartholomew, age 36 at time of Census, so b. about 1844.Occupation listed: Keeping house.Father was born in PA, Mother in NY. Children: William, age 19,b:Ohio Laura, age 16, b:Ohio Harriet, age 14, b:Ohio Alexander, age 6, b:MI Russell, age 4, b:MI Jesse A, age 2, b:MI
This differs slightly from our previous findings (Jesse's birthplace), I'm not sure what to think, but if this isn't him, that's a HUGE coincidence to have another Jesse born the same year, living in the same place at the same time!Let me know your thoughts.
