James Bartlett got a state grant #2988 of 150 acres "entered Oct 3, 1829" and sold this land 1832 to John Kyle for $200.Nathan Bartlett was witness to this transaction in 1832.The land was adj. Witness in 1850 was John C. Melton and witness in 1852 was A. Burgin. Peter Freeman sold 100 acres on Cane Creek adj. Jenkins's line, Harvey Lanning, the Williams tract and Henry Wasson's corner to Nathan Bartlett in 1851 for $100.00. DB 24/550. Nathan Bartlett sold 10 acres on north fork of Sw.
