Henry County Deed Book G/88. "Newton County- Aaron Haygood, Benjamin W. Haygood, Appleton Haygood, Nathan Bartlett, and Sanders W. Ragsdale of said county [Newton?] sold to Solomon Strickland Dec. 28, 1833, for $160.00 5 shares out of 7 being part of lot #46 in District 2. Witnesses: John Stidham, James Diamond, J.P. Recorded Sept. 11, 1834." [Note:Steadham is a name found around one early Bartlett in Newberry Co. S.C. I have no idea if there is a connection or not. Also, is it reasonable to suppose this Nathan Bartlett was married to a Haygood girl?]
