Hi.Please forgive my intrusion into your conversation with Jan, but parts of your messages attracted my attention. My husband's lineage includes Bartletts and Silvers.I am currently digging into the origins of the Bartletts of Bloomfield, Vt.; we can only go back to Aden, b. 1794, d. 1863, a veteran of the War of 1812. He was not born in Bloomfield; we don't know where he came from. What attracted my attention is that my husband's Silver lineage also includes the marriage of Martha Sargent b. 9 Mar, 1700 to Samuel Silver b. 1705/06, son of Samuel Silver of Newbury, Essex Co., Mass. Other family members lived in Amesbury and Haverhill. I am curious about Issac 1749-1805 and Rebecca Sargent (1750-1828) and Isaac Bartlett, Jr. & Abigail Mores; Aden had children named Isaac N. and Abigail.Granted, these are very common names, but I keep running across information that urges me to consider the possibility that many of the people who moved to Bloomfield had already been connected by community elsewhere. This could all be coincidence, too!
