Thank you so much for writing. What a joy and surprise.I do not however have a military number for him.I understand he was in the OSS.
I'd like to find out his blood type from the military also--or somewhere--but I don't know how.
He grew up in a large house in Newark Valley, NY with his 6 brothers and 1 sister. He was born in Yonkers, NY--but no, I don't know how long there.
He attended the Chicago college of Chiropody and became a podiatrist.
He wrote 2 books on aiding inventors which are in the Library of Congress.
He was married before (I don't know her name)he married my biological mother. In the first marriage there is an adopted son named after him who at the time of Jim's death in 1966(found this on the obit. page for Jim's death) lived in Satellite Beach, Fl.I don't know where he lives now--but he would be a good link--I've tried to find him--but come up empty.
Jim's podiatry office was on Central Ave. in St. Petersburg.
I sent his picture and some info. to a Bartlett ancestry site over a year and 1/2 ago.I also sent them his picture.I just realized yesterday that they have a lot of the info. wrong on that page. I sent an e-mail to them yesterday with corrections. His picture is on there too --here it is if you'd like to see it:
