Found out recently that my grandfather
was sent by the Childrens Aid Society of
New York on 31May1881 to Clearmont,
Nodaway County,
Missouri and placed in
the home of
Baley H Kinder.
There were approximately
25 orphans on this particular train and
most of the children were placed at Burlington Junction,
Missouri.
He remained in Nodaway County,
Missouri until September 1894
when he married my grandmother,
Carrie PERUE and they moved
to Albany County,Wyoming.
My Grandfather died in 1951 and I
never got to see him.
He spent the last 21 years of his
life in a hospital in Anna,Illinois.
Their records were purged after 10 years.
He is said to have a sister
Cora GARRETT who lived
at Pleasanton,Kansas in 1930-1951 time
period.

Go to OUR PHOTO ALBUMS and then
UNKNOWN OR ORPHANED BARTLETTS
Why not read about the Orphan Trains.
So many people are not aware that there
were such trains, but they were real.
Thousands of children were placed in Midwestern States from
1853 to 1929.
My grandfather was one of these
orphans.
I am trying to locate some of his
unknown siblings. Please help if you
can.
