Anybody know what Bartlett family the Warner Sister are descendant from?? (West Point-Constitution Island Warners)
Cornelius J. Bogert, bap. 13 Oct 1754 New Amsterdam, NY; d. 16 Feb 1832; marr. 2ndly 5 Dec 1795 Susannah Bartlett. She b. Abt 1754.Since this was his second marriage it probably is also her second marriage, meaning that she is a Bartlett widow and not born a Bartlett.
this is the story.. I'm related to the Warner side and helping a friend with her Bartlett side..got curious when I stumbled across this.. Looking for Bartlett info..
William Warner 1717-1776/Rebecca Lupton 1722-1812 had 13 children. One of them was Jason(#11) 1760-1841. m. Abigail Whiting 1783.. of Canaan.
His son was Henry Whiting Warner 1787-1875
His children... Susan and Anna Warner (Warner Sisters) live at West Point on Constitution Island in the 1800's. Their mother was Anna Marsh Bartlett.
Her stepfather was Cornelius Bogert, a wealthy and socially prominent NYer..Anna Marsh Bartlett married Henry Whiting Warner in 1817.
Trying to get a lead on Anna Marsh..Mother and father/ stepfather..family and Bogert family.
Her daughters were Anna Bartlett Warner 1827-1915 and Susan Bogert Warner 1819-1885 authors of Wide Wide World (1850), Queechy (1852) and Jesus loves me.. (neither one married and there are no descendants)
