Hi Fred,I'm doing backwards genealogy.I don't care so much where these Bartletts came from, I'm trying to find relatives of them now.I don't know if your Rowena Bartlett in Missouri is related or not. What I do know is this:Joseph Bartlett (1781-1863) lived in VT, MA possibly NH and MI.I recently learned about his family from a relative of his brother, but I don't know who his children were other than Benjamin F. Bartlett who married Esther Marie Perham and together they produced six children: Hellen(1843, NY),andEmma (1845, NY) were the oldest and Cora (1858?, MI, were the youngest. Benjamin (a shoemaker) died in 62-63 in the Civil War.By the 1900 census Esther was living with Cora and Cora ( a dressmaker) was married to Clifton Harlow Perham (who I know little about other than he was a bridgebuilder and travelled around a lot. He was also a Bartlett cousin... and probably a first cousin since Cora's mother's name is Perham)In the census it said Esther had two living children.I believe the other living one was Emma who I believe married Franklin Amos Bliss in 1862.Not certain about that, but an Emma Bartlett DID marry a Franklin Amos Bliss that year in that area and she would have been the right age for marrying!
Any ideas where to go from here would be appreciated!
