He married Caroline Gardner around 1871, and had 7 children in the Fayetteville, Manlius, Syracuse area. His children all attended SU, Syracuse University.
His Father=Nelson PIERSON He was married to Jane Elizabeth TEMPLE before 1839 in Manlius, Onondaga, NY. Children were: Frederick Theodore PIERSON. He also may have had a sister Martha who married Silas card, and a sister Mary. Possibly also Missouri ties.
His Mother=Jane Elizabeth TEMPLE was born about 1805 in NY. She was married to Nelson PIERSON before 1839 in Manlius, Onondaga,NY. Children were: Frederick Theodore PIERSON. She was married to a HANCOCK about 1826.
Frederick married Caroline Gardner around 1871, returning from San Francisco California to do so. There is evidence of a Horace Huntington Pierson, who was divorced in SF, CA in 1860's. Do not actually know any relation to Frederick, but he later names his son the same name, so am assuming a possible family connection.
Caroline's parents were Sylvester Cogswell Gardner and Caroline Collin, of the large local Collin family. (She was also related to the families of Tremain, Seward Noble, Armstrong and Samuel Wells, and belonged to the clan of families of Ambrose Smith, Ambrose Clark, Delancy Bartlett and Charles Mead, in a more remote relationship)
Together they had 7 children: Frederick T. Pierson JR., Robert Hamilton Pierson, Wallace Nelson Pierson, Sarah Pierson, Caroline Emma Pierson, Horace Huntington Pierson, Herbert Varney Pierson. Frederick in 1898. Caroline (Carrie) died in 1903.
