Joseph is buried in Bartlett Cemetery which is located along the east edge of the boundary between Thompson and Leroy, Lake Co, OH.This cemetery has been considered, by some to be in Lake County. There are 2 stones for Joseph in Lot 3:(IN.g.587)
JOSEPH BARTLETTPVT. GARRISH"S REGT.MASS. TROOPS REV. WAR DIED 15 DEC 1830
JOSEPH BARTLETT DIED _ _ _ _ _ 1830 IN HIS _ _ _ YEAR
The government stone must have been placed after 1926 since it is not listed in Sherman(?). Penciled in that work is "Dec. 13 - b. Feb. 6, 1763 in his 60 th year." (IN.a.334)
Lucy's stone is almost illegible but seems to have:
LUCY BARTLETT WIFE OF JOSEPH DIED 26 FEB 1849 AGED 86 YEARS ------------------------------------------------------------ I do not have the author of this typewritten paper, including the last will and testament of Joseph Bartlett, nor the date it was written.
Does anyone know if the name Thoder is an abreviation for Theodore? Or is this a nickname?
