We found this loose handwritten note in an old 1814 Bible.
-quote Thomas Meek, date of birth unknown, emigrated from England 1740-50. Their old bible was stolen by British soldiers during the Revolution. He died at Salem Mass 1765.His wife Abigail born in Marblehead 1734 died there 1827 aged 93. Their son Thomas Meek was born in Salem 1756 died at Marblehead 1811. He married 2nd wife Mrs. Lydia Hooper Boden (widow of Benjamin Boden) daughter of Capt. (Samuel) Hooper of MHead 1798.He gave her Paul Revere silver set for her wedding present with her initials "LM". Mother got the creamer (which we have). Her daughter Lydia Boden Meek married Joseph Barker Bartlett at the home of Richard Meek.She was mother of my grandfather Nicholas Bartlett. Richard Meek died without children.He married Hannah Bartlett March 1807 in MHead. -end of quote
Under the heading "Marriages" in same Bible, we find handwritten: On March 1807 Richard Meek to Hannah Bartlett at Marblehead Massachussetts. On September 18, 1849 Nicholas Bartlett to Lucretia A. Brown at Cleveland Ohio.
