Interesting to see another descendant of Jonas Bartlett. Many of Jonas' grandchildren either died young or didn't have their own children, so I'm not sure how many of us there are.
As for Josiah - he's not an ancestor. I think his family is from Richard Bartlett of the North Shore of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The earliest-known ancestor in our line is Henry of Marlborough, MA, and I know certainly that Josiah isn't from his family. You'll find quite a bit on Jonas and his ancestors at my website, and I have more off-line.This link goes to Jonas and at the bottom of each page there is a "parents" link that will take you back through the tree.
Jonas had what I think was a very interesting life in New York. Was any oral history about Jonas and his wife Harriet passed down in your family? We had very little. I'm also hoping to find pictures of whatever kind of Jonas and Harriet, and of their children.
I would very much like to hear from you and would like to know more about the Risley side. I have some information, mostly from censuses and newspaper notices, but it stops at Emma and Leander's children.
