Maureen Elizabeth (Godat) Bartlett, of Arcola, Mo., departed this life on Thursday, January 20, 2005, in her home at the age of 57 years. She was born on August 29, 1947, in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Edward William and Grace Violet (Denny) Godat. Maureen was united in marriage to Raymond A. Bartlett on August 24, 1973, in Morrisville, Mo. Maureen worked at the Dade County Nursing Home as a L.P.N. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenfield, Mo. Maureen loved horses, painting, feeding her birds, and caring for her dogs. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Bartlett, of the home; two sons, Patrick Taylor and his wife, Dona of Greenfield, Mo., and James Edward Taylor and his wife, Annette of Everton, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Lori Taylor and Leta Taylor-Wright; one brother, James Edward Godat and his wife, Peggy of Fair Play, Mo.; two sisters, Carolyn Sue Freeze and her husband, Loren of Walnut Grove, Mo., and Eunice Heidemann of North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Mandy, Jake, Chailsee, Chloee, and Hattie. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2005, in First Baptist Church, Greenfield, Mo., with Pastor Bill Good officiating. Burial will follow in the Akard Cemetery, Fair Play, Mo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
