The Jefferson Bartlett you are researching is, I believe, possibly related to a John and Thomas Bartlett of Warren Co., IN.
In the late 1820's and early 1830's, a Jefferson Bartlett purchased land at the Crawfordsville, IN land grant office. It was on the same day as Thomas Bartlett and the land purchased was adjacent to John & Thomas'.
John & Thomas migrated from VA in the 1820's & 1830's, but I have not ever been able to connect Jefferson to them.I believe the purchasing of land on the same day and adjacent to one another is too strong to be just a coincidence.
Later (06-Nov-1841) an indenture is made in the recorder's office of Warren Co., IN for a sheriff's sale of Jefferson & Elizabeth Bartlett's land.
As I have been unable to locate any death records (court house, newspaper, cemetery, etc...) for Jefferson or Elizabeth, I thought they probably migrated further west (as some of the other Bartlett's had done).
I would welcome any information you have, especially on the place died for Jefferson and Elizabeth.I would be glad to supply you with the information I have on the Bartletts of Warren Co., IN.
