Jay - I love a good puzzle; and the Thomas and Sarah BARTLETT family presents several. First, the Thomas BARTLETT of Harrison, Monongalia and Preston Co, VA is the son of Thomas BARTLETT c1730-1806, who was born in Richmond Co, VA; lived in Fauquier Co, VA 1769-1785 (maybe earlier) before moving to Harrison Co, VA.Thomas Jr also came to Harrsion Co in 1785, and he married a Sarah about 1785 - so it is not clear if he married in Fauquier Co or in Harrison Co.About 1803 Thomas Jr moved to the part of Monongalia Co that became Preston Co, VA.They had at least 8 daughters and 4 sons - perhaps more.
According to my read of the 1810 Monongalia Co, VA census of the "Dav CLEVMGER" family was: 10100-00100 - showing one son born 1809-10 which is tight for a Dec 1809 marriage. It also shows Elizabeth as 16<26 or b 1784-94.
I show David CLEVENGER/CLEAVENGER in Harrison Co, VA Pers Property Tax Lists from 1813 to 1825; and in Wood Co, VA PPTL from 1826 to 1830 (I haven't done the rest of Wood Co yet)
The info I have for 1820 Harrison Co, VA census is: David CLEVENGER 200010-20100 which would be too young for Eliz. - perhaps I misread it.
For 1830 Wood Co, VA census: David CLEVINGER 1020001-110101
I pegged Elizabeth's birth as 1789.I'd love to hear more from you.
