Goodevening folks; Can someone clue me in as to who the parents of Cora (ATKINSON) BARTLETT is she was born about 1829 where ??? died 1920 in Thompsonville, Gonzales Co, TX I have her parents listed as Charles ATKINSON b-1777 but I don't think that is correct. OBIT fron a newspaper clippings received from Bessie Null Funeral services for Mrs Cora BARTLETT, of 696 Weisman Blvd in San Antonio. (tx) were held at the Thompsonville Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon, july 10 at 2 oclock with the visiting Pastor Chaplin Merritt O. SLAWSON officiting. The Pastor of the Thompsonville Church, David Crabtree, assisted. The church choir rendered two songs of mrs BARTLETT'Schoice with Mrs Carroll GUNN at the piano. The chalpin read manr beautiful scriptures very fitting and several of her own selections. Mrs BARTLETTpassed away July 8 after a long time as a shutin. She had reached the age og 91years. For many years she had taught school around Waelder (tx). And at the time of her passing was a member of the TTRavis Park Methodist Church, San Antonio (tx). Survivors are one brother, Charlie ATKINSONof Houston (tx); sister E.L.[Eugenia] TAYLOR of San Antonio (tx); W.O. [Oscar] BARTLETT of Falcon Hights (tx); Mrs BARTLETT was preceded in death by her husband june 7 1920 and also he son Ray BARTLETT.The body was laid to rest in the beautifully kept cemetery at Thompsonville (tx). Roy Akers was in charge.Pallbearers were nephews, Russell KERR, Willie KERR, Bobby Guy ATKINSON, Walter ATKINSON, Willard ATKINSON and William TAYLOR. May she rest in peace and may all the beautiful women and christian virtues tthat she possessed crown the lives of relatives and friends left here on earth.
