John P. Bartlett, one of Oswego's old settlers, aged 61 years, died very suddenly of heart disease, at his home, Wednesday evening. Mr. Bartlett was a blacksmith and worked Wednesday as usual. As he was about to enter his house after the day's duties, he fell dead on the threshold. He leaves a wife and two children. He was a brother-in-law of W. E. Minkler of Batavia. ------ I am not researching nor related to this family and have no further information.
