So, are you saying that Groups D, F, G, and H are more closely related, or from the same common ancestor?I would very much like to know more.
I am descended from the Virginia line of Thomas Bartlett (1670)- William (1696) - Thomas (1733) - John (1766), who had moved to Franklin Co., KY, by 1792.My father's brother spent years tracing our family history but, without a computer, could never get any further back than Thomas and Patience (Bentley) in Essex Co., VA.
I would appreciate any help you could offer here, because I still have a problem trying to make the connection to our ancestors in England. On the one hand, there is Thomas Bartlett (b.1635 Yorkshire, Eng - d.1711 Talbot, MD) married to Mary Goodchild (b.1636 or 1647? Yorkshire - d.1717 Talbot, MD).On the other hand, there is Thomas Bartlett (b.1634 or 1635 Chislet, Kent, Eng) married to Joanne Addanis (b.1636 Eng); they were married in 1665 at Essex, VA.In each case, I found the listed parents for Thomas (1634/35) were Thomas Bartlett (b.1608 Chislet, Kent) and Margaret Mennes (b.1612 Chislet).Could Thomas (1634/35) have married a second time possibly after the first wife died? And was he from Kent or Yorkshire?
The parents of Thomas Bartlett (1608) apparently were Thomas Barttelot (b.abt.1580 Chislet, Kent) and Anne Violet (abt.1580 Branscombe, Devon), married 1606.So, then, who were his parents? Thanks for any help you can offer.
