Hello Antonia,
Was wondering whether you had any progress with your query from several years ago?
My interest may be connected - or not. My ggg-grandfather, Charles Frederick Bartlett had various business interests in the Caribbean and Atlantic states. He drew up his will in Port of Spain, Trinidad in 1850. It was probated by 1853, so he must have died at some point in between. Athough he was married to a Bermudian - Elizabeth Robert Keele Douglas (married at Christchurch Presbyterian Church, Warwick, Bermuda on 3 April, 1817)and had 4 children born in Bermuda between 1818-25, the family then disappears from church records until the late-1850's. There is no record of the deaths of Charles or Elizabeth nor their daughter Elizabeth. It's possible the family all moved to Port of Spain and the 2 Elizabeths and Charles all died there, as well as the possibility of the birth of further children in Trinidad.
Not sure how to go about finding details from Trinidad. Have you had any experience with this area of research over the last 5 years?
Regards,
Michael
