Steve; Thanks for the follow-up - it's good to see you on this Board again. I've just finished taking all the BARTLETTs in MD census 1790-1930 and putting them into Family Outlines, and combining that info with other info as well as results of our BARTLETT-DNA Project, to try to sort out the MD BARTLETTs.(I've done similar with NC BARTLETT, where we started the Pasque BARTLETT in NC discussion). The Kent/Somerset BARTLETT line has different DNA than the Talbot/Caroline BARTLETT line (3 other BARTLETT lines which "passed thru" MD include the Robert of Plymouth, MA (Mayflower BARTLETTs) - Isaac b 1779 MA d 1861 Baltimore; Richard of Newbury, MA (line includes Josiah/SDI) - George H b 1841 Cuba was in Allegany Co 1870; and Thomas of Richmond Co, VA - Lewis Frederick bc1880 was in Cumberland & Hagerstown from 1900 on.
The Dobbs Co, NC BARTLETT descendants have matching DNA with the Somerset Co, MD BARTLETTs (I call this Group C, with a distinctive DNA "signature") - so we're looking for how they relate, and Pasque BARTLETT is a good clue. We're trying to find out everything we can about both? of them.
Please email me if you want access to the MDBARTLETTs file.
