Gregory - I am the Administrator for the BARTLETT-DNA Project.Currently we have over 150 participants, and, through DNA matching, have "proved" 18 separate BARTLETT lines. As Administrator, I have gotten involved in each of these lines, and the efforts to trace them back to Immigrants to the US and even links to UK BARTLETT lines. Most of the BARTLETT lines have Haplogroups of R1b1b2, which means they descend from the original men who settled England after the last Ice Age - say 8-10,000 years ago. This is expected because that is where the majority of settlers to America came from. Other Haplogroups in England include I1a and I1b, which are associtated with Vikings and northern European inhabitants after the last Ice Age, and this, too, is expected because of the many invasions of England, and the American settlers who would have descended from them. My own Haplogroup is E1b1b1a2, which came from the Fertile Crescent 8,000 years ago, to the Balkans 5,000 years ago, to England about 1,800 years ago.
The short answer is that I'm not descended from the"Mayflower" BARTLETTs, which includes your line. But I do know several researchers who are.If you'd like me to introduce you to that group, please send me an email at email@example.com.
