Hi Linda.I see you haven't made any posts since 2005 so this email for you may not be good anymore.I talked to you once a while back regarding a James FERGUSON from Aberdeen.I was looking today and found this post you had for a John Bartlet(t) FERGUSON b.1839.Somehow a BARTLET family is connected to my CONNON family from Aberdeen. I hope you can follow this: John CONNON married to a Jane/Jean WALKER.Their first child was Barbara CONNON b.ca.1813.She married a James FERGUSON, 1835, Aberdeen.I don't know anything further about him. In 1841 they had a son, John FERGUSON and I think I got that information from Familysearch.org.I am not sure what the middle name was of this John. But here is the BARTLET connection. In 1841 an Ann BARTLET lived with John CONNON and his wife Jane. She was listed as age 70, an Independent(not sure what that means). In 1851 She is still living with Jane CONNON who is now a widow. She is listed as "Cousin" to Jane.I found John CONNON listed in the Monumental Inscriptions for Old Machar, Aberdeen. He is buried in the same plot as the parent's of Ann BARTLET.It mentions Ann on this record and says she is not buried there with her parent's but is buried with Barbara CONNON FERGUSON as requested by her somewhere else.So she and Barbara must have been close and that is why I am suggesting that maybe this is the FERGUSON/BARTLET connection? She would have been a little older than Barbara's mother and she never married so maybe was like an aunt to her and maybe Barbara named her son John with the middle name of BARTLET?
