You will note in Henry Co, GA 1860 Census, that Robert's mother Susannah, then age 78, is living with him.
I believe William BARTLETT is son of Samuel BARTLETT:
CCA] Samuel BARTLETT b 1750; d 1820 Wayne Co, NC; 1m _____; 2m Mary _____
We have DNA from descendant of Robert which matches 3 other DNA results from Roberts brother Henry and his cousin John. This DNA also matches that of two descendants of Nicholas BARTLETT b 1652 France who settled in Somerset Co, MD. Nicolas had a son Thomas b 1670 DE; d 1739 Somerset Co, MD, who had sons Pasque b 1706 MD, Thomas b 1708 MD and William b 1710 MD (the DNA was from descendants of William, who eventually moved to Knox Co, TN). There was a Pasque BARTLETT in early NC records - he may have been the some of Pasque b 1706 MD.The MD BARTLETTs were Quakers, who kept good records as long as the descendants stayed in good standing with their faith - if someone left the faith, it's like they vanished...
I think Samuel BARTLETT b c1750 of Dobbs Co, NC somehow descends from the Sommerset Co, MD BARTLETTs (based on the matching DNA) - I don't know how we'll ever prove it.
