I have been looking at this particular Stonnell family for some time. I have a tree back to the original Stonel who was a transportee from Marston/West Wycombe in Buckinghamshire in England. He was tried and convicted of stealing and sentenced to transportation but was released immediately on his arrival in America. He fought in the Revolutionary War.
This man married a widow and had several children from whom came the families in Prince William County, Alexandria, Washington DC and Cumberland Co.
This information has been posted in other areas on the web over the years. Another researcher contacted me about Araminta some years ago.
